what’s going on in the area?

The Lago Maggiore is one of the most beautiful lakes in northern Italy. The lake is located at the bottom of a kilometre wide valei that runs from the Gotthard massif and the SanBernardino on the North Side to the vast plain of the Po in the south. Along the lake are many villages and towns such as the fashionable Ascona in the Swiss part but also in italian you will find Boulevards with Palms and Oleanders.

Walking and excursions

All this is within an hour’s drive from the Villaggio Olandese.

Get on the water, but don’t feel like dragging?!!
Pedalboats, Boating a motorboat, canoeing, windsurfing?
At maccagno beach south of the river you can rent all these things.

Cycling

Take a bike tour!
Of course you have to have the right calves, but there have been many enthusiasts who have used the park as a base for mountain tours.
Rental:
Incidentally, there are also bicycles for rent at a shop in Germignaga. You would be wise to book in advance.
